The iLabPOS Interface


Most screens which you will be using in iLabPOS follow the same pattern as illustrated below.




THE TOOLBAR
The toolbar is made up of 7 or 8 buttons which all perform different actions as explained below:


Door (Exit) - Exit the screen.
Diskette (Save) - Save any changes.
Blue Arrows (Refresh Results Pane) - Refresh the Results Pane according to what is specified in the Search Criteria.
Red Cross (Clear Search Criteria) - Clear all the Search Criteria Fields.
Plus (Add) - Add a new record.
Minus (Remove) - Remove the current selected record in the Results Pane.
Magnifying Glass (Properties) - View the details of the current selected record on the Results Pane.



THE SEARCH CRITERIA
When you open a specific screen, such as the articles screen, the number of articles you will have in the results pane might run in the hundreds and even thousands. Finding a specific article would be quite a headache. That is when the search comes in play.



Searching for 1 specific article by barcode - by entering the Barcode of the article you are looking for in the search criteria pane (In the barcode field), and then clicking on the Blue Arrows button in toolbar, the results pane will refresh itself and reduce the list to all articles which match the barcode you entered. In this case the result will only be one article as barcodes are unique.

Searching for multiple items - If for example you would like to list all articles from a specific supplier, you can enter the supplier name, or even part of the supplier name, click on the Blue Arrows button and the Results Pane will reduce the list to all articles coming from a specific supplier.

Searching by multiple criteria - You can also search by multiple criteria. Try searching for all articles from a specific supplier, which fall under a specific category. To do this, first clear the Search Criteria by clicking on the red cross. Then enter the search criteria in the relevant fields and click on the Blue Arrows.

Clearing the Search Criteria to relist all articles - To come back to the original full list of articles, click on the red cross and then click on the Blue Arrows. This will clear the search criteria, and then refresh the list with no search criteria.



THE RESULTS PANE
This is where you will see the data in table format for the specific screen you are in. In the case of the article screen it is where you see the list of articles. By double clicking on the header of each column, you can sort the table according to you choice.



SPECIAL ACTION BUTTONS
Some screens will have some extra buttons at the bottom. Each button will perform a special action on the data item you have selected in the table above it.
