ADD A NEW DEPARTMENT


To Create a new VAT Department

Go to STOCK >> DEPARTMENTS and click on the "+" icon in the toolbar.




Now you can enter the department details as explained below:

1. Department Code - This is a short code which is usually specified by the VAT Department. This code is printed next to every item on your cash sale, and is mandatory by VAT laws. Consult with your VAT Department if you are not sure how to create your list of codes.

2. Department Name - This is a short description of the department which you can specify as you wish.

3. Tax Rate - This is where you can specify the tax rate for this department. The maximum is 21%.
