Setting up iLabPOS on a Server with a Multi User Environment
iLabPOS can be setup on a server and may be used by various users concurrently.
Step 1 -
Run the iLabPOS setup and set it up on a local computer. If you have setup iLabPOS already, skip this step.
Step 2 -
Move all the files which are in the data path to a shared folder on a server, such as F:\ilabposdata. The data path
contains various files, including data1.dbc, data1.dct, data1.dcx, article.dbf, article.cdx, audit.dbf, audit.fpt etc...
Usually the data path is in c:\program files\ilabpos\data or in c:\ilabpos\data.
Step 3 -
On each PC where you want iLabPOS, copy the runtime files in a seperate folder of your choice. You can name
the folder iLabPos. The runtime files are: pos.exe, vfp6r.dll, vfp6renu.dll, foxuser.dbf, foxuser.fpt,
prefs.dbf, xx_files.dbf, ilabpos.ini. Edit ilabpos.ini and change the datapath value to something like:

If you do not have the ilabpos.ini, create one with notepad and type in the above line with the correct datapath folder.
Step 4 -
Create a shortcut on the desktop of pos.exe.
Please make sure that you have purchased a Multi-User version of iLabPOS if you intend to use Multi User support.
