Creating Article Variations


This module is mostly intended for clothes shops, however it can be useful for other businesses as well. If you are selling clothes, you would usually have the same model of an article, but which comes in various sizes or colours, such as;

Bello Jeans Stretch - Blue Size 32-36
Bello Jeans Stretch - Blue Size 34-36
Bello Jeans Strecth - Blue Size 28/30
etc....

All the above articles are very similar, but not the same. The barcode for starters will be different for each size and color variation. Besides, normally you need to know exactly which color or which size you have in stock, so will need to create an article for every different size and color of each variation that you have. Creating the same model but with little variations can be quite lengthy, so here is where iLabPOS can help you.

Create the first size or color variation, such as "Moda Jeans, Size 36/32, Blue". Note that you should enter the size and the color in the Article Description as well. You do not necessarily need to enter the size and color in the bottom fields of the screen if you have already put it in the description.






Once you have created the first article, you can create many clones of this article, but with different barcodes and description. Simply choose the article you wish to clone, and click on "COPY TO VARIANT". Then enter the barcode for the variant, change the description with the new size and color, and finally change the price if you need to. Click on save to save the new article.
