HARDWARE SETUP

This is where you setup your POS Hardware, such as printer, cash drawer & pole display.

Cash Drawer - To use the cash drawer with iLabPOS, you need to setup the cash drawer as a printer on your computer. Cash drawers normally emulate a COM Port, and you can install a generic text printer that uses that COM Port. Once the Virtual Printer is setup, simply select it from the list next to Cash Drawer. If you have problems setting up the Cash Drawer, kindly contact support@ilabmalta.com.

Open Drawer - The open drawer command is normally as follows:

CHR(27)+CHR(112)+CHR(0)+CHR(25)+CHR(250)

If this does not work, please refer to your manual for the exact command.

Default Printer - This is the printer where all printouts except Cash Sales are printed.

Receipt Printer - This is the printer where Cash Sales are printed.

LCD Pole Display - Pole Displays are similar to Cash Drawers to setup. Normally a Pole Display emulates a COM Port, or is connected directly to a COM Port. Simply create a Virtual Generic Text Printer which is connected to the COM Port where the Pole Display is connected. Then choose the printer from the list.

Welcome Message - This is the message you want to display to your customers when you are not issuing a Cash Sale. Normally you will have something like "Welcome To Our Shop!"

LCD Chars. Width - This is the amount of Characters a Pole Display can display at one time. Normally Pole displays can display up to 80 chars on one line. If you are not sure, check your Pole Display user manual.

*** Important: Please note that you have to restart your POS after applying any changes in this screen.
